Our mission is to provide safe, abundant, and affordable water to the residents of Sanford and Springvale

About Us

The Sanford Water District serves the Town of Sanford (including the Village of Springvale) Maine.  The District is a Quasi-Municipal entity with a three member board of trustees.

The Sanford Water District pumps an average of 2.6 million gallons per day, with a peak production of approximately 3.5 million gallons per day in the Summer.  The District has approximately 6,000 service connections.

Eight well sources located in different areas within the town of Sanford supply the system with groundwater.

Contact Information

The Sanford Water District office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.  Bills can be paid at the District Office on River Street, or at our agents (Springvale Hardware on Main Street in Springvale, or at Shaw's Hardware on Main Street in Downtown Sanford).
